Caterpillar Cuteness!!

Did it slow us down?  The fact that we are smack-dab in the middle of moving?

Well, yes.  But, we did push the pause button on the move, and took a couple of hours to celebrate Kerri Grace's first birthday.  Since our house is mostly all boxed up, we held the Bash at my parents' house.  It was a whole lot of fun!

The Birthday Girl was a cutie in an outfit designed and created by Mimi!  Her birthday theme was "The Very Hungry Caterpillar".  We had green caterpillar cupcakes, caterpillar napkins, caterpillar balloons, and of course, the book The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle.  She loved it (or she seemed to have a good time)!

Happy Birthday, Kerri Grace!

*Sidenote - My parents were so great to have the party at their house, and even greater to be fine with all of the kids running around with green icing all over their faces.  Thank you, Mimi and Papa!

12 Months of Kerri Grace!!

12 Reasons Why This Little Girl is So Easy to Love:

1. Cheeks!
2.  Her cute little "scoot" she uses to get places on her pa-tu-kas.
3. The sweet hugs she gives when you get her up from naptime.
4.  Squeals of delight when Maggie makes her happy.
5.  Her enjoyment of food and the social time that comes with that.
6.  Waving
7.  Shaking her head "no, " and giggling.
8.  First words (Dada, Mama, Ba for Bird)
9.   The way she makes crying adorable!
10.  Her obvious appreciation of books and being read to.
11.  Her laid-back nature (just like her daddy).
12.  Just for being her and for being ours!!!!!

Tonight we went to Mr. Salsa to have a little Birthday Day Celebration.  Kerri Grace enjoyed some burrito, rice, beans, and birthday dessert!  We all had a delicious time!
Happy Birthday, Kerri Grace! We Love You!

A Whole Lot Of Sun, Play, Food, and Family...

Makes Me One Happy Girl!!!
The Oliver Family Beach Trip was a little condensed due to work and other busy schedules, but we sure did make the most of the time we had together.  The sunny hours were spent either at the beach or the pool, and from sunset on, we ate at delicious restaurants, enjoyed great conversation, and got some much needed R&R!  We had a fantastic time!

**Special Shout Out to Mimi and Papa for Keeping the Girls so Matt and I Could Enjoy an Adult Dinner Out with B and Tay!!  What a Treat!**

Jonathan and David

Maybe I should not compare, but I have always felt that God gave me a gift in my best gal pal, Lauren.  Our friendship began at the ripe old age of 12 years old, and since then we have walked very similar paths.  We endured the awkward middle school years together, double-dated to the very first homecoming dance at good old EHS, struggled through dating young men who didn't necessarily deserve our affection or time, held each other accountable to do the right thing even when our peers were not, and supported each other while working our way through colleges that were hours apart from each other.  And, to think, I thought we were best friends at this point in life......

Since then, our lives have paralleled even more.

We got married within six months of one another.

We found out we were expecting baby girls at the same time......

And now, we have this whole crew of little beauties....

Along the way, I have found myself saying, "Isn't it neat that we are getting married at the same time?" or "Wow, this is crazy that we have baby girls that are a week apart in age!"
But honestly, I don't think it was just coincidence. I think it was the Lord blessing us with something a little extra special.  And, I am so very thankful!

Sidenote:  Maggie and Campbell make their mommies proud...notice the smoosh-face-hug-pose. It took us years to perfect that, and they have it down already!

Love, Marriage, Independence, Freedom

What do these words have in common?  Not much to most, but a whole lot to Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Gaymon!  We were married on July 3, 2004, and it was a spectacular day for this giddy bride!  We had a sweet ceremony with very heartfelt vows followed by a fun reception with great times enjoying the company of all of our closest family and friends.  On July 4, 2004, we traveled to St. Martin island.  I remember on the plane ride over, Matt teased that we would never view "Independence Day" the same again.  Boy, was he right, and I am so grateful!  I have enjoyed my lack of independence, living life beside my favorite person!!

July 4th Weekend 2004:

July 3, 2010 and July 4, 2010 were spent at Aunt Kerri and Uncle Brian's house in Florida!  We made the long, but uneventful trip down (stopping on the way to visit with Aunt Kim, Uncle Mark, and Gavin).   Aunt Kerri and Uncle Brian were the perfect host and hostess, and we had so much fun!  We went to the zoo, swam in their pool, took a trip to Seaside, and watched the fireworks on the water!  Maggie cried when we had to leave.  I think she really understood that Aunt Kerri lives a long way away.  We were all sad to say goodbye.  Can't wait to see the Beekmans again!
