The Royal Ball with Prince Charming

The Daddy Daughter Dance is a well known annual affair held at our church.  The little girls (and big girls) talk about it all year long.  They really "do it up right."  This year, we felt like the girls were old enough to enjoy it, so Matt decided he would take them.

A few weeks ago, Matt called both Maggie and Kerri Grace separately to ask them on a date to the dance, and that is when the excitement began!  So sweet!

Here is the "story" of Matt picking up the girls in pictures:

Once upon a time there were two fair maidens.  They were invited go to the Royal Ball with none else than Prince Charming!  They were beside themselves.

The day of the ball, the maidens went to the Royal Charming Charlie's to buy some gorgeous sparkling jewelry.  They took their time getting ready.  They curled their hair and pinned it up just right.  They put on their lovely gowns.  Then, the time came for Prince Charming to pick up his little beauties.  They were ready!

Ding Dong! He's here!  He's here!

The prince's eyes lit up at the sight of his stunning dates!

"Look at my necklace!"  exclaimed Maggie.
"It is beautiful, and you are, too.  Can I have a kiss?"

Flowers for the fair maidens (and for their Mommy, too)!  Such a thoughtful Prince.

All three ready to go to the ball!

Can't you just feel the excitement?!!

Sweet...love these little beauties and the handsome Prince, too.

One last shot before they head off!

The girls and Matt came home around 10 o'clock....late night!  The girls were giggling and talking up a storm.  Matt looked worn out, and he actually broke a sweat from all of the dancing, spinning, and of course, throwing up in the air!  I am so glad that they got to go!

Thank you, Grace Church, for having such a special event, and a big thank you to my husband for always making his girls feel special!  We love you so much!

Repunzel! Repunzel!

Yesterday, Mimi called and asked us if we wanted to go see Repunzel at the Peace Center.  Do we ever?!!!!  The girls felt something like this about the idea....

My Kerri Grace is a HUGE Repunzel fan!  So, she was completely giddy!

Mimi, Maggie, and Kerri Grace all ready to see the show!

Mommy and her girls.

The play was really cute and funny.  It wasn't the typical Disney Repunzel story, but surprisingly, the girls enjoyed it just as much.  I don't think that they got all of the humor, but they laughed and laughed at the silly characters.

Kerri Grace was completely captivated!  She laughed and chatted the entire time.  So cute!

After the show, we got to meet all of the characters.  So fun!

It's Repunzel!!!

We were pleasantly surprised that the dragon was a nice dragon.
What a fun Girls Night Out!  Thank you so much, Mimi!

2 Months

I am two months old!  Here are some fun facts about me:

1. I am really laid back.  I only cry when I am hungry or tired.  My Mommy and Daddy really appreciate that about me.  I am just buttering them up for when I get to the wild toddler stage. =)

2. I am a big boy!  Mommy hasn't taken me to the doctor for my two month appointment yet so we don't know just how big, but I am wearing 3 - 6 month / 6 month clothing.  I am thinking that will come in handy when I decide to play football like my Daddy did.

3.  I have my Mommy wrapped around my little finger!  It really didn't take much...I just had to be born.  She acts so silly around me, and she talks in a really high voice.  Not to mention all of the kisses.  Man, does she love my sugar!

4.  I love my big sisters!  They are so much fun!  I could smile at them all day long.

5.  I am a really good sleeper.  I sleep from 8:30 p.m. to 3 or 4 a.m.  Then, I go right back to sleep after eating.  My Mommy and Daddy really appreciate that, too!

6.  I am starting to control my neck and head more.  I am thankful to not be a bobble head baby anymore.

7.  I am completely infatuated with the ceiling fan.  It is so cool!  I love how it is dark brown against white, and I like to watch it go around and around.  So fun!

Well, that's all for now.  I will let you know more as I get bigger.
Love, Oliver

When Mommy Has a Million and One Things to Get Done...

It's like babies have a sixth sense when it comes to knowing when Mommy doesn't have time.  Oliver is no exception.  And today...well, today was insane.  The funny and very ironic part was that both big sisters were having a grand time at Mimi and Papa's house.  They had a Spring Break Sleepover, and Mimi said she would keep them a while this morning for me to get some house work done...Ha!  Oliver wanted some one-on-one time with Mommy.  So, what did I do?  I attempted to get him to sleep so that I could conquer the world.  Then, after many failed attempts, I gave him exactly what he wanted.  And, to be honest, I loved it!

Here is a run down of one of my failed attempts to get my sweet boy to nap:

I am such a snuggly cutie, and I am all ready to play.

Say what?  You want me to nap and miss the action?

That is freakin' hilarious!!!!

Did you hear that (friends that are partying behind my back)?

Well, we will see about this....

I'll be honest, I am a little confused and disappointed.  You would think by the third kid you would know what to expect, Mommy.
Oh well....
What should we talk about now?

Here's to hanging out with my cute little buddy today and hopefully getting much more accomplished tomorrow!  ;)

Happy Resurrection Day!

"He isn't here!  He's risen from the dead, just as he said would happen."
-Matthew 28:6

We had a wonderful Easter!  It's always wonderful, amazing, and very humbling to celebrate the miracle of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ!  On top of that (not that there should or needs to be more),  we had so many other blessings to be thankful for this Easter!

We woke up (extra early) to take all THREE of our sweet kids to church.  The girls checked out all of their goodies in their baskets.  So fun!

Extra Big Boxes of Crayons for My Crafty Girls

 Our Family of Five
I have to say that Oliver looked adorable in his Easter best ( a bubble that we borrowed from a sweet friend), and my girls looked beautiful, as always (in dresses that Mimi smocked for them).
After Church, we headed to Mimi and Papa's for a wonderful lunch and time with family!

Look at Kerri Grace's Pose...so funny.

Easter Egg Hunt

Found some!

The girls hid the eggs for Papa and Mimi.  Look at them dashing to the eggs!

Really there are no words.  I am too blessed.
Thank you, Jesus, for taking my place! All praise to Him today and everyday!
