Neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt

Spring is so busy! So busy and so fun!

We kicked off our week of Easter Celebration this morning. We walked to our clubhouse, and the girls enjoyed a Neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt. They had such a great time looking for eggs, running around with their little friends, and comparing and sharing their loot. So cute!

The girls enjoyed walking to and anticipating the Egg Hunt almost as much as the hunt itself. Go figure! :)

Kerri Grace held her own in the Three and Under Hunt...

Maggie found a lot of eggs, and she gave away every single one. Matt told her she could keep a few, but she said, "We will have a lot more hunts so I can share with my friends." Who can argue with that?!

She and Kerri Grace had a great time with their little friends....

Perfect Day

Yesterday was one of those really perfect days, and I am still basking in it. Nothing major....just one of those days that Mommy gets a lot accomplished, the girls behave and are really sweet to eachother, and we have a great time playing as a family.

I am going to hold onto these moments when it seems like nothing is going well, the girls are having a hard time obeying, and I am struggling with my countless sins. I am going to look back at this post and remind myself of the many good days that the Lord has given us. His goodness and grace is so sweet in the little things in life!

Blessed is the one you choose and bring near, to dwell in your courts! We shall be satisfied with the goodness of your house, the holiness of your temple! -Psalm 65:4

Lunch With a Tiny Miracle!

Yesterday, the girls and I went to lunch with our friends, Christin and Adeline Daniel. Adeline, much like sweet Mary Brooks Smith, is a complete miracle. She has been through a lot in her tiny life, but the Lord has been good to her and her family. She is so precious!!

The girls loved admiring Adeline and playing on the Chic-fil-a playground while Christin and I caught up. Such a fun mid-week bright spot for the Gaymon girls! I hope you are having a blessed week also.

Everybody Needs a Getaway!

Some of my Samford ADPi friends met up in Charleston this past weekend. It was so fun! We walked on the beach, ate out and ate way too much, stayed in an amazing house (thank you, Keiran), shopped around in downtown Charleston, and (most of us) left our little ones in the care of their Daddies.....which means a vacation in and of itself ;). I know that our friendships are rare and the fact that we make an effort to get together is even more rare. We are ten years out from graduating from Samford, and yet it seems like we pick up where we left off, as if it were only yesterday. I am so thankful for these "sisters." What a special time of relaxing and catching up!

Zoo Time!

Wednesday morning, we met up with our best gals at the zoo. We had a great time, and it was a good break from a pretty crazy week!

Maggie loves her friend, Campbell!

Stinky Elephant!

Kerri Grace loved the animals!

The big girls and Kerri Grace (who thinks she is a big girl)!

Reese-e-cup

All four sweet and spunky little gals!

And, a little walk down memory lane.....
While we were enjoying our morning, I couldn't help but think back on this zoo trip a few (very short) years ago:

What sweet memories!!! Love all of these girls and the wonderful times we have living life together.

Hallelulah, What a Savior!

I can't stop praising God for the miracle he has worked in the life of sweet Mary Brooks Smith. And, even more than that, the way he is using this little life to draw her parents, our community group, and so many more closer to Him. Click here to read about the amazing protection over this precious three-week-old's life.

It always seems so incredible and humbling to me that the Lord performs such miracles after the ultimate sacrifice He has given us in His son! Thank you, Lord, for paying attention to the details of our lives and for being so so sweet to us! Hallelulah, What a Savior!!!

One of my all time favorite songs that we sang at our Elder Led Prayer time last night:

Hallelulah, What a Savior!!!

Man of Sorrows! what a name
For the Son of God, Who came
Ruined sinners to reclaim.
Hallelujah! What a Savior!

Bearing shame and scoffing rude,
In my place condemned He stood;
Sealed my pardon with His blood.
Hallelujah! What a Savior!

Guilty, vile, and helpless we;
Spotless Lamb of God was He;
"Full atonement!" can it be?
Hallelujah! What a Savior!

Lifted up was He to die;
"It is finished!" was His cry;
Now in heav'n exalted high.
Hallelujah! What a Savior!

When He comes, our glorious King,
All His ransomed home to bring (ransomed home to bring),
Then anew His song we'll sing:
Hallelujah! What a Savior!

I hope that you are overwhelmed by the sweetness of our Savior this morning!

The Big 6-0!

Papa turned sixty last Saturday!! He is definitely much wiser from living and learning sixty years, but doesn't look a day over 59! :) We love him so big!

Here are six of the many reasons we love Papa...one for each wonderful decade:

1. He loves the Lord, and has been the spiritual leader of his family.

2. Papa is deeply in love with Mimi. So fun to watch how they still like hanging out with eachother.

3. He is so funny!! Plus, he is a positive, upbeat person which I feel is really rare. I love that about him!

4. Papa works hard at his job and to provide for his family. (I know that is something to be admired in any profession, but particularly necessary for doctors, in my opinion.)

5. He never outstays his welcome. Really....never. :)

6. Papa is humble, kind, tender-hearted, and so very generous.

Ok, so that is more than six. Oh well. We love our Papa, and he is more than worth celebrating! Happy Birthday, Papa!
