Fall Finale!

We have had a busy and fun Fall!

We wrapped up Fall 2010 this past weekend with fabulous Thanksgiving Festivities.  We took a trip to Abbeville this year which was extra special because all of my cousins and their kids were there.  We have so much to be thankful for!  We missed Papa.  There will always be a void while we are still on this side of eternity.  But, Papa being in Heaven with our Savior is such a reminder of what our greatest and richest blessing is...the love and grace and mercy of our Lord Jesus!  Apart from Him, we have nothing to be thankful for.  As for My Thanksgiving Thankful List, it could go on forever, but I will condense it a bit.

*Warning: This post is even more photo heavy than usual.*

A Fabulous Mom of 30 Years....

And a blessing to many for 57!

My mom turned 57 on Monday...I wouldn't have told her age, but she just looks so great!

There is so much to be thankful for on this Thanksgiving Eve, but today, I am especially thankful for my mom!  I am thankful that she has been such a wonderful example of a Christian wife and mother.  I am thankful that she is healthy (the fact that she is cute is just bonus)!  And, I am thankful that she is fun!  Not everyone has fun with their moms, but I sure do!

On Sunday, Dad took us (and B and Tay) out to eat at Soby's.  The food was delicious and we had a great time celebrating.

On Monday (her Birthday day), Mom and I took the girls to see her mom, Mama.  It was a really sweet time.

Mama doesn't know the significance of my mom's birthday, her daughter's birthday (she has dementia).  And although I am sure that was hard for mom, she was simply glad that Mama was having a good time on her birthday.  Now, that is something to be admired, for sure.

There was one moment that was particularly sweet.  Maggie was coloring, and Mama was perfectly fine watching her.  But, Maggie asked, "Mama, do you want to color."  Mama said she did.  Not only did she color, but I think she truly enjoyed herself.  It was touching.

Happy Birthday to a Beautiful, Selfless Woman (Who I Get to Call "Mom")!

Sick Girl With Some Sick Moves!

Kerri Grace has croup!  She hasn't felt too bad, so we have just been giving her Ibuprofin, Claritin, and monitoring her.  Nothing like a good dance party to help her forget about her illness! =)

With DJ Maggie spinning the tunes, and Daddy on vocals, there was no stopping Kerri Grace from busting out some mad moves!!  Be sure to pause the playlist so that you can enjoy this video in it's full glory!

We Have a Walker!

Kerri Grace is starting to get very comfortable with walking...yay!
She is a little bit later on this milestone, but she has reached many others earlier than I expected, too.  She is 15 months, so I guess she smooshed her walking, talking, and climbing all together into the middle of her 1 and 2 year mark.

Here are her stats from her 15 Month Well Check:
Height: 30.25 in. (50th %)
Weight: 21 lbs. 12 oz. (35th %)

Here is most of her vocabulary thus far:
Dada
Mama
Mame (Maggie)
Papa
Mimi
Nana
Pa (Pal)
Du (Duck)
Ah Oh (Uh Oh)
Uh Huh
Pea (Please)
Bee (Baby)
Ball
Toes
and much more jabbering.....

She is most definitely a climber!  It is not odd to find her halfway up the stairs or on top of her table in the playroom.  This is something we never had to deal with when Maggie was this age.  We need to put up our baby gates ASAP!

Only Treats for the Gaymons!

This past weekend was a whirlwind of fun festivities!  In fact, this was the first Halloween weekend that we had to pick and choose what we did, because we simply couldn't be in two places at one time....so much fun to be had and so little time! We had a good time visiting with family, had a fun time at the ERBC Fall Festival, and topped off the weekend with trick-or-treating in Pal's Choo Choo Train!!   So fun!!

Oh, and the girls were adorable in their costumes!!
