Time with Cousins!

Thomas wants Maggie to play!

Elizabeth was such a good helper with Maggie. She helped me give her a bath. She wanted to do it all, but I told her we would have to wait until she is a little older to take on that responsibility. Elizabeth really got into the bath (she literally got into the bath tub.) That is why her pants are so wet in the pictures. Maggie was amused by her, but still doesn't know what to think of other children. I can't wait for Maggie to get older and really appreciate her sweet cousins.

Thankful for the Little Things.

Lord, thank you for Maggie's sweet little feet and toes. She loves them! In fact, usually when I check on her during nap time, she is too busy enjoying her feet to sleep. It makes me think...I guess we should all be that grateful for our feet. So, I encourage you to do what I did today. Spend a minute of your time thanking the Lord for something you take for granted.

Celebrating New Life!

Abby With the Hostesses
Anne and I Serve the Food

Anne, Lisbeth, and I gave Abby a baby shower this past Saturday. Abby is having a sweet baby girl in April. They are naming her Megan Bailey. We were a little worried about the weather forecast and the fact that Abby was extremely sick Friday. But, the weather wasn't a problem, and, thankfully, Abby felt better. It was so fun to spend time with friends and celebrate this new life.

Playing in the Snow!

Maggie was fast asleep by the time the snow started coming down, and I was fast asleep by the time Matt wanted to play in the snow (around midnight Wednesday night). Needless to say, I didn't put on my snow gear, but I did bundle up enough to take some pictures. He seemed to enjoy himself, and I was amused just watching him. Maybe the next time it snows, we will get some pictures of Mags in it.

Maggie rolled over!

Ok, so it was more like she fell over. None the less, Maggie has officially rolled over unassisted! We were playing on the floor this afternoon, and I decided to give her a little "tummy time," which she is still not a big fan of. So, she took care of that. Go Mags! I just thought I would share this little victory.

I Am So Close to Rolling Over!

Bringing in the New Year at Litchfield!

Daddy Reveals a Whole New World to Maggie!

We spent a few days at the beach with my family for New Years. We had a great time relaxing and visiting with eachother. Bradley and his girlfriend, Taylor, were there along with my parnets. It was fun getting to know Taylor better. She seems to fit right in with our somewhat spastic way of vacationing. As you will notice...in most of the pictures, we are wearing running clothes and look a little bit sweaty. That is because we all took a run while mom watched Maggie. This is a regular occurance on the Oliver beach trips. We don't do well with too much sitting around.
Maggie didn't know what to think of her very first time on the beach. She took it all in by staring intensely and furrowing her brow...this seems to be the way she processes every new experience. It was so much fun watching her.
For New Year's Eve, Bradley, Taylor, Matt, and I went out for a very nice dinner. Then, we came back and played a game with my parents. It was so nice to have time as a couple. I have a feeling that things really are going to be great in 08!

Many Reasons to Celebrate!

The Christmas season was full of traveling for the Gaymon family. Fortunately, my parents, both of my grandmothers, and one side of Matt's grandparents live within an hour of us. So, we traveled a little bit to see them, but it didn't take too much planning to pack Maggie up. We visited Matt's parents (and spent time with Kerri, Matt's sister) in Macon, GA the weekend before Christmas. We had a lot of fun visiting with them, opening presents, and eating way too much home cooked food. Maggie was very easy to travel with which made the trip even better.
Then, we packed up and headed home on Christmas Eve. We spent Christmas Day with my family. It was so much fun getting up Christmas morning with my parents, Bradley, my brother, and of course, the star of the show, Maggie.
A few days after Christmas, the 28th, is Mrs. Gaymon's birthday. We had a birthday dinner for her at our house. Here are some pictures from the get together. We had a great time celebrating the birth of Mrs. Gaymon. She is so special and loved by all of us. Another special celebration took place as well....Matt's sister, Kim, is now engaged to Mark. We are so excited to have Mark in our family! The Birthday Girl and Maggie!
