I can't stop praising God for the miracle he has worked in the life of sweet Mary Brooks Smith. And, even more than that, the way he is using this little life to draw her parents, our community group, and so many more closer to Him. It always seems so incredible and humbling to me that the Lord performs such miracles after the ultimate sacrifice He has given us in His son! Thank you, Lord, for paying attention to the details of our lives and for being so so sweet to us! Hallelulah, What a Savior!!!
One of my all time favorite songs that we sang at our Elder Led Prayer time last night:
Hallelulah, What a Savior!!!
Man of Sorrows! what a name
For the Son of God, Who came
Ruined sinners to reclaim.
Hallelujah! What a Savior!
Bearing shame and scoffing rude,
In my place condemned He stood;
Sealed my pardon with His blood.
Hallelujah! What a Savior!
Guilty, vile, and helpless we;
Spotless Lamb of God was He;
"Full atonement!" can it be?
Hallelujah! What a Savior!
Lifted up was He to die;
"It is finished!" was His cry;
Now in heav'n exalted high.
Hallelujah! What a Savior!
When He comes, our glorious King,
All His ransomed home to bring (ransomed home to bring),
Then anew His song we'll sing:
Hallelujah! What a Savior!
I hope that you are overwhelmed by the sweetness of our Savior this morning!
