Long Time No Post!

This post is in honor of Andrew who has questioned our loyalty to the World of Blogs.=) We have been so busy with Maggie and Kerri Grace...both of whom have really easy girls. Maggie is such a sweet sister and Kerri Grace just a dream baby. BUT, I have really had to work hard to get a single thing done during the day. I try to keep Maggie entertained the majority of the time hoping that she won't notice she no longer has my undivided attention. One thing that has been a lifesaver is the pool we got Maggie for her backyard birthday party. Maggie loves to play in the water for hours on end. So, that is exactly what she has done. Here are a few pictures of her and her friends:

First Weeks of Foursomeness

These past couple of weeks have flown by....and then again, they have crept by. I know that all of you moms out there know exactly what I am talking about. The hardest part has been not being able to pick up Maggie. She is doing really well, though. She is so sweet to Kerri Grace! She has been a little bit more whiny and needy, but that is to be expected. We will see if she starts to get used to the idea of sharing her time. Well, Kerri Grace is calling. Gotta Run! Here are some pics from our time here in newborn/toddler land:

The Tiniest Little Bundle of Joy!

She's here! Kerri Grace Gaymon was born at 1:59 pm on Monday, July 20th. She is so pretty, perfect, and TINY. She weighed only 5 lbs. 8 oz. Who knew? She was born with a pair of lungs, though. She was crying right away so Matt and I got to visit with her for a good while in the Operating Room which was so special. I think that our family was about to go crazy not knowing any news, but we were simply enjoying our time with our girl. Since then, Kerri Grace has been such an easy baby. I think she is still in the "honeymoon phase" since she was a week early and so tiny. We will see.

I am so thankful.....exhausted, but thankful! The Lord has done so much for us.

Preparations for a Family of Four!

This is basically what we (my mom, myself, Matt, and Mrs. Stephenson) have been working on for the last couple of months. It is amazing how much more work it is to put together a nursery with a toddler to take care of. Maggie is so easy and wants to be a helper, but she did complicate things a little. It was a much bigger task getting Kerri Grace's nursery together than it was Maggie's. Thank you, Mom! You are a lifesaver!

I thought it turned out to be a very sweet nursery! Mrs. Stephenson, my mom's very close friend, made the draperies, bumper pad, dust ruffle, and pillow. She is unbelievably talented! Thank you, Mrs. Stephenson!
A little different angle.
This was the dress that Maggie came home in and that Kerri Grace will come home in! Mrs. Stephenson made this as well, and it is precious!

And here is Maggie's beloved "girl, girl room." She LOVES her little room, and I am so thankful.
I think it turned out really cute!

Monday, July 20th at 2:00 pm....

....Kerri Grace will be about to make her grand entrance!!!

If you think about it, send up a prayer for Kerri Grace and myself. My c-section is scheduled for Monday at 2:00 pm. My prayer is for her to be healthy and for the surgery to go smoothly. We will keep you updated and post some pictures as soon as possible. Thank you for thinking about us. Your prayers are much appreciated!

Little Helper

A few weeks ago, Matt and Maggie stained our deck.

Now, all we have to do is teach her how to get up in the middle of the night to feed her sister, change diapers, give baths, etc. Maggie is so advanced, and I really think she is up for the challenge.

Let Freedom Ring!

Happy 4th of July to all! We celebrated at the lake and it was so much fun!

And before you ask....yes, I am two weeks away from a c-section and I rode the tube. The driver was very cautious and slow for Maggie and my sake...thanks, Papa. Maggie loved it, and I loved being able to share that fun moment with her. So, happy 4th of July to me!
