We have been quite water logged in these parts recently, and sadly, July 4th was no different. It rained on and off all day long. We were disappointed (especially that our neighborhood fireworks were cancelled), but we still managed to celebrate in rainy day style!
We went to Nana Sue and Pal's for hamburgers and fellowship. Matt's grandparents were there whom we always enjoy seeing. It was extra special celebrating with Grandaddy since he served in WWII. We are so grateful for our heroes like him!

Yesterday evening, we headed (in a downpour) to a party that our friends were having. They live on the pond in our neighborhood which is where the fireworks usually happen. But due to the rain, they had to get creative and moved the party to a warehouse nearby. The kids loved splashing in the puddles, and didn't seem to notice that the rain had put a damper on our original plans.
Thanks for the "Flood of Fun," Ed and Julie Edwards!
