Better Late Than Never...

to share with you about our Easter celebration! I love Easter because it is about the resurrection of our Savior! So, really....it is good to focus on Jesus rising again on other days besides Easter. That was all part of my plan (to post this late so we could have a belated reminder. =))

Matt, Maggie, and I got back from the beach Saturday night before Easter. We got up and went to church and then ate a delicious lunch at my parents. Side note: Only my mom can come in from out of town late Saturday evening, go to the grocery store, and then serve a wonderful meal to 15+ people. Oh, to be like her one day!

We had a great time eating, visiting, and, of course, having an Easter Egg Hunt for the kiddos. We missed Bradley being there but didn't feel too bad for him since he spent the day at the Masters. Taylor came so at least we got his "better half." Plus, Kerri came which was an added bonus. Happy Late Easter! He has risen for us!

Litchfield with the Olivers!

Mimi, Maggie, and I headed down to the beach first. After that, the doors were revolving with people coming in and out. Bradley and Taylor ("B" and "Tay" in Maggie talk) were there for Sunday and Monday night. Lauren, Campbell ("Bellbell"), and "Emmy" were there for Tuesday and Wednesday night. And then, Papa and Matt came down for Thursday through Saturday! We had such a great time!

The weather was not ideal, but we enjoyed a lot of indoor activities. Then, when the temperature rose just a bit, we headed out to the pool and ocean. Maggie loved the water (even though her lips turned blue from the cold). She even face planted a couple of times in the ocean. Didn't bother her a bit! She stood back up smiling. I now know one other thing that Maggie gets from her mother (besides her hair)...her love for water!

Happy Birthday, Grandphal "Pal"!

Maggie decided to help Pal decorate his card a little bit more.

Yummy cake!

Matt trying on the bunny ears!

Maggie copying her daddy. I think that they are slightly cuter on her...sorry Matt.

Happy, Happy Birthday to Grandphal!

Matt's dad's birthday was April 3rd, and boy did we celebrate! Matt's mom made a delicious spread of pork tenderloin, sweet potato casserole, mac and cheese, green beans, and a wonderful dessert! Can you tell that I am pregnant and thoroughly enjoyed the food? =) Maggie, as usual, loved spending time with Nana and Pal. She helped Pal open his gifts and entertained all of the family. It was so fun celebrating Pal's life, and showing him how much we all love him.

Easter Egg Hunt

Last Saturday, Mimi, Maggie, and I went to an Easter Egg Hunt at Kids Planet. I think all of Greer was there. In fact, we ran into one of my friends, Mandi, and her sweet little boy, Rafe. It was fun to see them for a little while.

Maggie loved all of the activities, and I think she did pretty well hunting eggs for the very first time. She found three eggs! Rafe shared a couple of his eggs with Maggie which was appreciated greatly. Overall, Maggie's first Easter Egg Hunt was a success!

A Much Needed Get Away!

Maggie and I have been a little under the weather, so it has taken me a couple of weeks to post this. Two weekends ago, I was able to fly up to Boston and meet up with some of my closest friends from Samford. We had such a good time, and, for me, it was so refreshing. We went shopping, went out to eat, took in a few of the sights, stayed up way too late talking, and, of course, acted like silly college girls. It is funny how time with your girlfriends does that to you...takes you back in time.

I was so ready to get away, and I was so ready to get back to Matt and Maggie (who, by the way, had a great Daddy/Daughter weekend as well). Matt is so great with Maggie, and I am so blessed to have a husband who doesn't hesitate to let me get away and take care of our daughter. They enjoyed time playing outside in the gorgeous weather, spent time with both sets of grandparents, and even went to their first Gymboree class together. Now, I am wondering what he is going to think when I want to get away for a night or two and we have TWO girls. Hmmmmmmm. We'll cross that bridge when we get there. Thanks, babe, for a great weekend with the girls!

It's A Girl!

Kerri Grace is on her way! We had our 20 week ultrasound (although I am actually 19 weeks), and we were thrilled to find out that we are having another sweet little girl. Maggie doesn't know how excited to be yet. But, Matt and I were both so glad to hear and see that our baby is healthy, growing, and that she is a girl! Yay!!!

Let it Snow!

We woke up to a winter wonderland this morning! This was Maggie's first snow. It snowed last year, but she was asleep and too young to really care. But, this time, she loved it! It is still so cold out, and we don't have any kind of snow gear for Maggie. It didn't phase her. She loved stomping through the snow and picking it up with her hands. She cried when it was time to go in. Mommy and Daddy can't take the cold like she can.
