Cohen is Born! We Serve an Awesome God!

One of the McGowan's prayer requests has been to hold their son while he is alive. God has answered that prayer! Here is the latest post:

Cohen was born at 9:23. Emily got to hold him. He was breathing on his own. He has been taken back to do chest x-rays and Chris stayed with Emily. That's what we know. They got to hold him! Praise God!

Pray for Cohen!

If you read this blog entry tonight, please pray for Cohen McGowan. I just copied a portion of a post from their blog. It was submitted by a friend due to the McGowans being at the hospital for a c-section. Little Cohen is not expected to make it, and we are joining with the McGowans to pray for a miracle. Here is a portion of the post:
"Please join me in praying for the McGowans and for Cohen's little body--that God would choose to heal him and give him long life--it is NOT too difficult for God. Please pray for Chris and Emily right now that they will have clear minds and peaceful hearts to make quick decisions and to wait on God and His perfect plan for Cohen's life."

Entertain Me, Please

Naptime has become playtime as well. I have started putting toys in Maggie's bed so that she can play with them before she falls asleep. I am sure this is considered bad parenting in many books, but she loves it. And, I love that she just squeals and plays until she goes to sleep. I took these pictures after her nap today. She did not sleep in her bow. I added that simply for the pictures to be extra cute. =) Take note of all of the extra items in her crib. Is it odd to sleep with blocks?

Reaching for her toy.
I'm so happy when I wake up!Almost there!Bingo!

Bath Time is the Best Time!

This is a wonderful part of our nightly bedtime routine. Bath time is Maggie's favorite...well, maybe tied with her bottle. I thought the pictures were fun of her splashing. Maggie has gotten to the point where she drenches the floor because she is splashing so hard with her arms and/or legs. It is so fun for her, and somewhat fun for me. I just love watching her have a good time.
Splish, splash!

Daddy keeps Maggie warm and dry!
She still loves her feet!
Starting to get sleepy.

Walking on a Sunny Afternoon

The weather has finally been warm enough to walk outside a little bit. Maggie and I have enjoyed it thoroughly. Maggie isn't as sure that she likes her glasses as much as the outdoors. We'll see if she gets used to them.

Lunch with Our Valentine

Maggie and I ate a late lunch with Matt on Valentines Day. We, of course, had to be festive and dress the part. Also, we took along gifts for our Valentine...cookies and a picture of Maggie for Matt's desk. We went to a pizza place on main street. Maggie took in all of the sites and sounds. We felt truly blessed on our first Valentines Day as a family of three.

Precious Moments

What more could I ask for than this?
