So much has happened the last few weeks. Now that Matt's dad is recovering and doing so well, Matt and I have felt like it was time to catch up on fun with friends and also on projects around the house (after all, our Kerri Grace will be here in a few short weeks.) So, a few weekends ago, we met up with our friends, the Weavers, at my parents lake house. My parents have literally just moved in to this glorious house so the accommodations were nice but a little sparse. We didn't mind. We had a great time! Lila (who is seen below on "Wordless Wednesday") and Maggie became instant best friends. They were absolutely adorable playing together. They swam, rode the jet skies, tubed, and played with toys in the house. I have never seen Maggie interact with a child her age as well as she did with Lila. She would wake up in the mornings and call out, "Yiya (Lila), I comin'!" Lila is a precious little girl and didn't seem to mind a younger tot trailing behind her the whole weekend.
The next weekend, Matt went to camp with the kids from church for Friday night. Maggie and I headed to the lake with Mimi and Papa. Then, on Saturday, we all celebrated Aunt Taylor's 25th birthday at the lake! Maggie called her the morning of and sang a beautiful rendition of "Happy Birthday." She is quite the little singer. Anyway, we had a great time celebrating Taylor and how much she means to us!
We have been working hard in Kerri Grace's nursery and it is coming together just beautifully. I will post some pictures when we have it all done. I must say that I am pretty proud of the tree I painted in the corner, and the monogram I painted on canvas. I mean, it by no means looks professionally done, but it is pretty. I am pleased.
Last Thursday, Mimi, Maggie, and I went to a pool party for Ava Cooler. It was held at her Me Me's house, and we all (especially Maggie) had a ball. She was a little tired (we are still trying to get her to sleep longer in her big girl bed) but she didn't let that slow her down. She played and played! Now, she thinks that every party is a pool party. Here are a few pictures from the occasion:

Swinging!

I don't think anyone can possibly look cuter from the rear.

Mommy really has to work to keep up these days!

It was such a beautiful day and such wonderful food and fellowship!
