Well, this was the week! Maggie has switched from her crib to her big girl bed or as she likes to call it, "Girl girl bed!" We made the move on Saturday morning so that she could take a nap in her new bed and hopefully make the transition easier. All in all, it has gone pretty well. Matt and I are exhausted, but not really because Maggie has been really difficult. I haven't slept because I have been waking up every hour to check the monitor and make sure Maggie is still in her bed, and Matt is finally letting himself be tired from all that has happened with his dad, his parents moving, etc. I am sure we will remember what it is REALLY like to be sleep deprived come July 20th or so. =)
Maggie loves her big girl bed!!! She doesn't, however, love to sleep in it yet. I think she realizes that Mommy or Daddy could be sleeping right beside her and that would be a whole lot more fun than "flyin' solo." So, sleep doesn't come very easily, but she has slept through the nights. She gets up earlier, and naptimes are not the greatest right now. I hope that within the next week or so, she gets back to her usual 1 1/2 - 2 hour naps. Other than that, I think you could call this transition a success so far!
Here are some cute pictures of Maggie taking a dip in her frog pool on Sunday afternoon:

When we had trouble with Isabel going to sleep in her big girl bed, we started letting her listen to music. Have you tried that? She would lay in bed and listen (and sing) and eventually fall asleep. It worked well.
Sounds like it's going pretty well! That was similar to Abby's 1st week or so. The novelty wears off and with summer fun she'll be exhausted enough to sleep there easily. Can't wait to meet #2!!
