I was teasing the other day that people may think that I have literally fallen off the face of the Earth because of my failure to update. I haven't! ;) I still love to blog, but this season in my life is extra busy (like everyone, I'm sure). I keep thinking that things will slow down. Not sure if that will happen, but here's to wishful thinking! I'm glad that my little ones are playing sweetly this morning so that I have a minute to write a little update.
Here is a brief rundown of our December festivities....
We kicked off the Christmas season by decorating, of course!
We went to a fun party at Bradley and Taylor's house!
Santa + Krispy Kreme + Face Painting = a Fun Time for All!!
Both of our girls had school performances. We were so proud!!
Oliver turned 10 months old on the 14th!
We hosted an engagement party for my cousin, Juleah Rose, and her fiance', Lee! We had a great time celebrating the beautiful couple!
We mixed in some play time at home. Oliver LOVED the Christmas tree! He wasn't a big fan of his sisters dolling him up with a hair bow, though. Mommy thought he looked adorable. =)
We had a few little girlfriends over for a Christmas Craft Party.
We had our Community Group Party - complete with a pair of adult sized pjs and a visit to the amazing house of lights in Mauldin!
We went caroling with some friends in our neighborhood!
And, of course, we had a fantastic time celebrating with our wonderful family!!
The girls really got excited about all of the celebrating which made this Christmas extra fun for us! And, Oliver made it extra fun just by being with us. We loved our first Christmas with him!
Happy Birthday to our Savior and King, Jesus Christ!!
Suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared among them, and the radiance of the Lord's glory surrounded them. They were terribly frightened, but the angel reassured them. "Don't be afraid!" he said. "I bring you good news of great joy for everyone! The Savior -- yes, the Messiah, the Lord -- has been born tonight in Bethlehem, the city of David! And this is how you will recognize him: You will find a baby lying in a manger, wrapped snugly in strips of cloth!" Suddenly, the angel was joined by a vast host of others -- the armies of heaven -- praising God: "Glory to God in the highest heaven, and peace on earth to all whom God favors. " -Luke 2:9-14
