Belated Resolutions

On New Year's Eve, I was trying my best to take care of a very sick little girl, and we have all gotten the nasty cold/cough/sinus infection virus for at least one round since then.  So, needless to say, we have spent a good bit of the past week indoors, and I have had some time to reflect on 2010, pray, and anticipate the good things to come in 2011!

I have made a couple of the typical resolutions for 2011....
1. Work out at least 3 times a week (when I am cured of this nasty cold, of course).
2. Cook more healthy meals for my family.
3. Be more deliberate on sticking to our financial budget.

But, even more than that, I have prayed for a deeper love of God!  I have prayed for a desire to read and know His word more!  I have prayed for opportunities to live out the gospel by being obedient to the Spirit's calling in my life.  And, I have prayed for Him to make me a better wife and mom, with more patience, and more opportunities to show Christ to my family (especially in the everyday little moments)!

I know these are big requests, but I am so excited to see what our big God has in store for this next year!  Let's all pray that this year is filled with believers showing Christ's love to our World!
Happy 2011 Everyone!

How can someone so little make such a BIG mess?

Kerri Grace can establish quite the disaster zone without the least little bit of help from big sister!

Double Dream Hands!

Pause the playlist and watch...hilarious!
Just when I thought I was numb from exhaustion, Matt showed me this glorious video!  Miraculously, I was able to wrap just a few more gifts (with a few dream hands and jazz hands as a bonus).  I hope this gives you a little extra push to be Merry and Bright! =)

Party, Party, and Party Some More!

This week, the Gaymons have enjoyed party after party.  We started out the week with our small group Christmas party Sunday evening.  We had a great time complete with several tacky sweaters!

Then, on Wednesday, the girls and I had some of my sweet highschool friends and their kids over for an ornament exchange/playdate/potluck lunch.  It was such a great time, and it was hilarious that almost all of us bought or made initial ornaments.  Great minds think alike!

Thursday night, we had our playgroup friends over for potluck dinner and some more play!  We haven't played with our playgroup in a while, and it was so great to catch up.

Today, Maggie and I capped off our week with a Gingerbread House Making party!  Whew!  It was such a fantastic week!  Now, tomorrow, we will probably stay in our pjs all morning and watch movies.  We need to recover, for sure.

This is such a fabulous time of year!!

Magical Moments

Maggie has been telling everyone today that her Mimi and Papa took her to see the Princesses yesterday....they went to see Disney Princesses on Ice.  She loved it! I don't think she is going to recover from her excitement for a while.

Pause the playlist, and wait for Maggie's expressions...

So cute!

What 3-year-old wouldn't love this kind of production?!

The perfect nutritional snack....only grandparents get to do this kind of spoiling!

Princess Maggie...the fairest of them all!

Thank you, Mimi and Papa!  Maggie felt so special from her big afternoon with the Princesses!

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

Some of the wonderful things we have been doing this Christmas Season:

Decorating our new home...yay!

I am officially calling this our home!

Kerri Grace LOVES this nativity.

Having fun at an Ornament Making party!

Rudolph must look just right.
KG wasn't too interested in the crafts.

Recovering from festivities with some laid back play time in our "jammers."

Coloring time
What have we here?!
I love that Kerri Grace is stepping into her strand of pink beads.

Celebrating at another fun Christmas party with "Mama O."

Maggie, Mimi, and Mama O looking pretty in Christmas attire.

Red Velvet is so yummy!

Santa Sighting!!

Maggie is my social butterfly...I am so glad she can flit from one party to another with her mommy.

I can't believe this is only the first of the month!  There is so much more celebrating!  Bring it on!
