Matt turned 28 on the 27th, and today, the 28th, I am 28. That's right...Matt is one day older than me. Matt reminds me of how much he learned on that one day....apparently, he is much older as far as his maturity level.
We had a great week. We spent Sunday at the lake with my family. My parents are building a house on Keowee so we took a picnic lunch and enjoyed the boat some. Matt and I got some fun presents which was a great bonus. Something I am particularly excited about is a new rug and some shelves for the sun room (one of Maggie's play areas) that my parents gave us. I love for things to look put together, and that doesn't happen often with Magpie around. So, for now, we have an organized, but user friendly, sun room. Fun for me! Thanks, Mom and Dad!
Wednesday night, on Matt's birthday, we went to his parents house in Pelzer. That's right, his parents have moved to the Upstate. We are super pumped! Anyway, we had some delicious steaks and a fabulous, four layer, chocolate cake that Mrs. Gaymon made. It was definitely a labor of love for Matt. Maggie got to enjoy some as well. We were spoiled by more gifts from Matt's family. We both got some much needed clothes. Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Gaymon!
You would think that would be the end to my birthday post, but there is more to come. Matt took tomorrow off of work, arranged a baby sitter, and he is going to do all of the projects I have lined up for him around the house. Wow! I am one blessed birthday girl! Happy 28th to the Gaymons!
Stay tuned....in a week, the most important birthday girl will be turning ONE!

Gymboree Fun
Yesterday, Maggie and I went to Gymboree, we and had a wonderful time! She absolutely LOVED being around all of the babies and she was a pro at the physical activities. I was beaming with pride. So, here is the deal....I loved Gymboree, but it is too expensive for our budget right now. So....
I am going to start up a baby/toddler fitness fun class of my own. It is going to be at a church, and we will do similar songs, activities, etc. to the Gymboree class. So, all moms in the area that may be interested, stay tuned to our blog. More information is on the way!

Silly Bedhead Baby!
The past couple of days, Maggie has played a little game when I go to get her up from her morning nap. She reaches her arms out, and I ask her, "Are you ready to get out, Maggie?" She then, nods her head, "yes," but when I go to pick her up she sits down, shakes her head, "no," and grins sneakily. So cute!! I have found myself able to play this little game for a good while. I think Maggie could play it forever. She loves being able to tease Mommy!
On a completely different note, can some of you bloggers fill me in on how to set music to our blog site? Allison, I love your tunes....can you let me in on the secret?

Maggie's First Pool Party
Yesterday, Maggie, Mimi, and I went to a "Grandma/Mom/Grandchild Pool Party" at the Medcalfs. We had a blast! Maggie loves anything that involves other children and spending time in the water. She splashed, kicked, and played with the water toys. I had a good time visiting with everyone, too. Mrs. Medcalf, thanks again for having us over! We loved it!
